Gusset

A plate or bracket, typically triangular, used to reinforce a corner or angle in a structural frame or joint. This component adds rigidity and strength by distributing stress over a larger area, preventing deformation or failure. Gussets are widely used in steel structures, timber framing, and sheet metal fabrication.
