Back-countersink

A machining operation that creates a chamfer or conical enlargement on the back side of a pre-drilled hole. This process removes burrs or prepares the hole for a flush fastener head from the blind side. It requires a specialized tool that can pass through the existing hole and then expand to cut the countersink.
