Battery charger

An electronic device that replenishes the electrical energy in a rechargeable battery by forcing an electric current through it. It converts alternating current (AC) from a power outlet into direct current (DC) suitable for the battery's chemistry and voltage. Modern chargers often incorporate smart features to prevent overcharging and extend battery life.
