Butt hinge

A common type of hinge consisting of two rectangular leaves joined by a pin, with each leaf mortised into the edge of a door and its frame. When the door is closed, the leaves meet flush, concealing most of the hinge. Butt hinges are widely used for residential and commercial doors due to their simple design and durability.
