Chronostasis
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001115
A perceptual illusion where the first event after a saccadic eye movement appears to be prolonged in duration. This phenomenon causes a brief moment to seem longer than it actually is, often observed when looking at a clock's second hand immediately after shifting gaze. It is a cognitive effect related to how the brain processes visual information around eye movements.
