Glory

An optical phenomenon observed as a series of concentric colored rings centered on the observer's anti-solar point, typically seen from an aircraft looking down on clouds or fog. It is caused by the backscattering of light by water droplets. The glory is a diffraction effect, distinct from a rainbow.
