Glory hole

A specialized furnace opening or chamber used in glassblowing to reheat a glass workpiece during the forming process, keeping it pliable. The intense heat within the glory hole allows the glassblower to continue shaping and manipulating the glass without it cooling and becoming brittle. Temperatures inside can reach over 1000 degrees Celsius.
