Borsella

A specialized hand tool used in glassblowing, resembling a large pair of tongs with broad, flat, or curved blades. It is employed to shape, compress, or stretch molten glass while it is still hot and pliable on the blowpipe or punty. The blades are often made of brass or wood to avoid marking the glass surface.
