Classification yard

A railway facility where freight cars are sorted and assembled into new trains based on their destination. Cars are typically pushed over a hump, allowing gravity to roll them into designated tracks. This process, known as 'humping,' efficiently organizes individual cars into blocks for onward movement across the rail network.
