Triage

A marshalling yard, also called a classification yard, where railway wagons are sorted and made up into trains for their different destinations. The word is used in British railway and military contexts and comes from the French word for sorting. Wagons are shunted into separate sidings for each destination, in contrast with a passenger station, where trains stop for people to board.
