Destination board

A sign mounted on the exterior of a passenger train, bus, or tram that displays its final stop and sometimes major intermediate points. Early versions were painted wooden or metal plates placed in brackets, while later systems used roller blinds with pre-printed destinations. Modern vehicles use electronic displays, such as LED or LCD screens, which can be updated remotely by the vehicle's control system.
