Contact wire

An overhead electrical conductor from which electric trains, trams, or trolleybuses collect power using a pantograph or trolley pole. It is typically made of copper or a copper alloy for high conductivity and wear resistance. The height and tension of the contact wire are precisely maintained for reliable operation.
