Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001475
Describing a material that has been reduced in size by compression, impact, or grinding, resulting in smaller, irregular fragments. This process is applied to aggregates, ores, and other bulk materials to achieve a desired particle size distribution for manufacturing or construction. The degree of crushing is often measured by sieve analysis, determining the percentage of material passing through specific mesh sizes.
