Daisy chain
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001543
A wiring scheme in which multiple devices are connected in sequence, with each device connected to the next in line. This arrangement allows for the transmission of data or power along a single path, reducing the number of cables required. Examples include SCSI devices, some network topologies, and certain power distribution systems.
To connect multiple devices in a sequence, where the output of one device feeds into the input of the next. This method allows for the transmission of data or power through a series of components using a single connection point to the host system. Examples include SCSI devices, some audio equipment, and certain industrial control networks like DeviceNet.
