Fieldbus

A digital, two-way, multi-drop communication network used in industrial automation and control systems to connect intelligent field devices like sensors, actuators, and controllers. It replaces traditional point-to-point wiring, reducing installation complexity and cost by allowing multiple devices to share a single cable. Common fieldbus protocols include PROFIBUS, Modbus, and FOUNDATION Fieldbus.
