Daisywheel printer
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001544
An impact printer that uses a print mechanism with characters arranged on spokes radiating from a hub, resembling a daisy. When a character is to be printed, the wheel rotates to position the character, and a hammer strikes it against an ink ribbon and paper. These printers produce high-quality text but are slow and cannot print graphics.
