SCSI
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005101
A set of standards defining protocols, commands, and interfaces for communication between computers and peripheral hardware. The Small Computer System Interface allows for connecting multiple devices, such as hard disks and tape drives, to a single shared bus, enabling higher data transfer rates than earlier parallel port technologies. While largely superseded by SATA and USB in consumer electronics, SCSI remains in use for high-performance enterprise storage systems and servers.
