Demultiplexer

A device that takes a single input signal and routes it to one of several output lines, based on a set of control signals. It functions as a data distributor, converting a serial data stream into parallel data or directing a single data source to a specific destination. A common demultiplexer configuration is a 1-to-N line, where N is a power of two, such as a 1-to-4 or 1-to-8 demultiplexer.
