Electrochemical equivalent

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002002

The mass of a substance deposited or liberated at an electrode by the passage of one coulomb of electricity. This value is specific to each element and its oxidation state, reflecting the amount of material transformed per unit of charge. It is calculated by dividing the molar mass of the substance by the product of its valence and Faraday's constant.
