Electrochemical

Relating to chemical reactions that involve the transfer of electrons, either producing an electric current or being driven by one. These processes occur at the interface between an electrode and an electrolyte, forming the basis for technologies such as batteries, fuel cells, and electroplating. Electrochemical cells convert chemical energy into electrical energy or vice versa.
