Electrical fault

An abnormal condition in an electrical circuit where current flows along an unintended path or exceeds its design limits. This can result from insulation breakdown, short circuits, or ground faults. Electrical faults can cause equipment damage, power outages, and present safety hazards, often requiring protective devices like circuit breakers to interrupt the current.
