Gigagram

A unit of mass in the metric system, equivalent to 10^9 grams or one million kilograms. This large measure is used to quantify the mass of substantial quantities of materials, such as the annual production of a large factory or the mass of a small asteroid. One gigagram is equal to one kilotonne.
