Elephant race
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002014
A driving maneuver where two heavy goods vehicles travel side-by-side for an extended period, particularly on a multi-lane highway. This occurs when one truck attempts to overtake another, but their speeds are very similar, causing a prolonged blockage of a lane. Such events can impede traffic flow and increase congestion, especially on busy routes where lane availability is restricted.
