Explicit modeling
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002121
A computer-aided design (CAD) approach where geometric features are directly defined and manipulated using precise numerical values and mathematical equations. This method provides direct control over the shape and dimensions of a model, allowing for exact representation of complex geometries. Unlike parametric modeling, changes are made directly to the geometry rather than through feature parameters.
