Toolpathing

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006060

The process of generating the sequence of movements for a cutting tool in a computer numerical control (CNC) machining operation. This involves defining the geometry of the part, selecting appropriate tools, and specifying cutting parameters. CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software is typically used to create these instructions, which are then translated into G-code for the machine.
