Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007317
A support on a machine, such as a lathe or grinder, that holds either the cutting tool or the workpiece steady during an operation. On a wood lathe, it guides a hand-held chisel, while on a bench grinder, it provides a stable platform for holding an item at a specific angle to the abrasive wheel.
