Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002223

A fractional unit of radioactivity representing one quadrillionth (10⁻¹⁵) of a becquerel. The becquerel, an SI derived unit, quantifies the activity of a radioactive substance as one nuclear decay event per second. This extremely small measurement is applied in fields like environmental science and food safety to detect and quantify trace levels of radioactive contamination, such as those found in water or soil samples.
