Firestop

A passive fire protection system component used to seal openings and penetrations in fire-rated walls and floors. It prevents the spread of fire and smoke by maintaining the integrity of fire barriers. Firestop materials include intumescent sealants, mortar, and collars, which expand when exposed to heat, forming a tight seal that can withstand temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees Celsius.
