Girthweld

A circumferential weld joining two sections of pipe or cylindrical components end-to-end. This type of weld is commonly used in pipeline construction and pressure vessel fabrication to create a continuous, sealed structure. Girthwelds are subject to rigorous inspection standards, such as those defined by API 1104 for pipelines.
