Train pipe

A continuous air brake pipe that runs the entire length of a railway train, connecting the locomotive's air brake system to each car. This pipe transmits compressed air to control the brakes on all vehicles simultaneously. A sudden drop in train pipe pressure causes an automatic application of the brakes throughout the train.
