Train order

A written directive issued by a dispatcher to train crews, conveying instructions for train movement, meeting points, or track usage. These orders were historically transmitted via telegraph or telephone and delivered to trains at designated stations. Modern railway operations largely use centralized traffic control and electronic signaling instead of physical train orders.
