Hickey

A printing defect appearing as a small, unwanted spot or donut-shaped mark on the printed sheet. This blemish is caused by a piece of foreign matter, such as dust, dried ink, or paper fibers, adhering to the printing plate or blanket. Hickies result in a localized area of either too much or too little ink.
