Hudson

A type of steam locomotive with a 4-6-4 wheel arrangement, characterized by a four-wheel leading truck, six driving wheels, and a four-wheel trailing truck. This configuration provided good stability at speed and a large firebox. The New York Central Railroad's J-class Hudsons were among the most famous examples.
