Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007049
A method of non-impact printing, known as Inkjet Printing (IJP), that recreates a digital image by propelling droplets of ink onto paper, plastic, or other substrates. Industrial inkjet systems use either continuous inkjet (CIJ) technology, where a high-pressure pump directs liquid ink through a nozzle, or drop-on-demand (DOD), which ejects droplets only when required. These printers are used for applications ranging from coding products with expiration dates to large-format graphics and textile printing.
