Jacobs bogie
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003101
A bogie shared between two adjoining carriages of an articulated train, with the ends of both bodies resting on it. Sharing it cuts the number of bogies in a train set, which lowers weight and limits movement between cars. French TGV trainsets are the best-known users, and some tram designs also use it.
