Keiki

A small plantlet that develops on the flower spike or stem of an orchid, particularly Phalaenopsis orchids. This vegetative propagation method allows for the creation of new, genetically identical plants without sexual reproduction. Keikis can be carefully removed and potted once they develop sufficient roots and leaves.
