Landsale

A public auction or sealed bid process through which government entities, such as the Bureau of Land Management, offer mineral rights or leases for exploration and production. These sales grant companies the right to explore for and extract resources from specific tracts of land. The successful bidder acquires a leasehold interest, subject to royalty payments and other stipulations.
