Loading bank

A raised platform or ramp adjacent to a railway track, designed to facilitate the loading and unloading of freight onto or from railway wagons. This structure allows for easy transfer of goods between road vehicles or warehouses and trains. Loading banks are common features at freight yards and industrial sidings.
