Lossless junction
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003436
A theoretical or idealized connection point in an electrical circuit or transmission line where no energy is dissipated as heat or radiated electromagnetic waves. All power entering the junction is perfectly transferred to the connected components without any reduction in magnitude. In practical applications, achieving a truly lossless junction is impossible due to inherent material properties and impedance mismatches, but designs aim to minimize losses.
