Monoculture

The agricultural practice of growing a single crop species on a large area of land, year after year. This method allows for specialized machinery and simplified management, but it can deplete soil nutrients and increase susceptibility to pests and diseases. Large-scale corn or wheat fields are common examples of monoculture.
