Morse taper

A standardized conical shank and socket system used for mounting cutting tools, such as drill bits and reamers, into machine spindles. This self-holding taper provides a secure and accurate connection without the need for additional fasteners. Morse tapers are designated by numbers from 0 to 7, with increasing size.
