Multivibrator

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003823

An electronic circuit that generates a continuous, repetitive output waveform, typically square waves or rectangular pulses. It operates by switching between two states, either stable or unstable, depending on its configuration. Common types include astable (free-running), monostable (one-shot), and bistable (flip-flop) multivibrators, used for timing, oscillation, and memory functions in industrial electronics.
