Astable
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000293
Describing an electronic circuit that continuously oscillates between two unstable states without external triggering, thereby generating a continuous square wave or pulse train. An astable multivibrator is a common example, producing a free-running output signal. The frequency of oscillation is determined by the circuit's component values, such as resistors and capacitors.
