DDS
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001584
Direct Digital Synthesis, a method for generating analog waveforms (such as sine waves, square waves, or triangular waves) from a single, fixed-frequency reference clock. It uses a digital accumulator, a lookup table, and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to produce highly accurate and stable frequencies. DDS is commonly employed in frequency synthesizers, signal generators, and modulators.
