Night letter

A type of telegram or telex message sent at a reduced rate for delivery the following morning or during off-peak hours. This service offered a more economical option for non-urgent communications compared to full-rate telegrams. Night letters were a common form of long-distance written communication before the widespread adoption of email and fax.
