A method for remotely updating the software, firmware, or configuration of electronic devices through wireless communication. Over-the-Air (OTA) updates are central to managing large-scale deployments of smart grid components, such as smart meters and distribution automation devices, without requiring physical access. These updates can deliver security patches, new features, or changes to operational parameters across a network.
