Parka

A type of heavy, hooded coat designed for cold weather, extending to the hips or knees to provide substantial coverage and insulation. Many versions feature a fur or faux fur lining around the hood to protect the face from wind and cold. Originally created by the Caribou Inuit from animal skins, modern parkas are made with synthetic, water-resistant outer shells and down or synthetic fiber insulation.
