A Pin Grid Array, a type of integrated circuit packaging where the pins are arranged in a square grid on the underside of the package. These pins are inserted into corresponding holes in a socket on a printed circuit board. PGA packages were commonly used for microprocessors before the widespread adoption of Land Grid Array (LGA) sockets.
