Pinch roller

A free-spinning wheel, often coated with rubber or another high-friction material, that presses media against a rotating capstan. This mechanism pulls tape, film, or paper through a machine at a constant, controlled speed. Pinch rollers are found in tape recorders, printers, and other material transport systems where precise media movement is required.
