Polyphase
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004408
Describing an alternating current (AC) electrical power system that uses multiple alternating voltages, typically three, which are phase-shifted relative to each other. This configuration allows for the transmission of more power with smaller conductors and provides a smoother power delivery to motors. Three-phase power is the standard for industrial and commercial electrical grids.
